Actually i think its funny because I don’t listen to the media. Mostly for the reason that the media is going to portray whatever will get them the most viewers. You now have people scared to fly, when in truth you have a better chance of getting struck by lightning. The media blows everything out of proposion, and in fact is regulated where it can only show certain events that happen in other countries. So if the Tv is on in my room its only because I’m watching cartoons, wrestling, Chi-town bears, or 2 and half men.

What drives me crazy about the news is they exaggerate so much. They’ll say the roads are icy and covered with snow but when I go out they are fine. They said there would be long lines at the voting polls and when I went to vote there was no line at all! There worst thing about the media is they instill fear and panic in people. My favorite TV program is the Sunday Morning show on CBS. They only show positive upbeat news. Plus I love the host with the bow tie.

The media looks for things that get people’s attention. That don’t look at community that helped each other out or the soldiers overseas that helped rebuild a village – that is too positive. The big thing to remember is that when the media brings out a story, it is based on one person’s (the journalist that wrote it) opinion. Imagine if the media focused on the positive stories – it would really be motivational. So yes, a week without the media would be great! Have a safe and fun trip to Florida, Larry!
