Comments on: CVS/Pharmacy or Walgreen’s?

I am a convenience shopper especially for every day items like groceries. I just buy what I need and don’t look at the price too closely. I just don’t have the time to check out the prices. I do research pricing on larger purchases such as home electronics. I usually do this on the Internet to save time.

As for CVS, once in a while for prescriptions only but I prefer to fill my prescriptions at Target because I can shop for other things that I need while the prescription is filled. They are also fantastic for children’s prescriptions. The bottle of liquid meds has a small hole and you use a syringe to dispense the medication…very convenient. When you go to CVS they give you a syringe that is 2 inches shorter than the bottle and it becomes a bit of a challenge to get the meds out towards the end.

I’m a CVS girl for prescriptions and the occasional odd’s and end’s… but along with Tina, I am obsessed with Target– I do Meijer for their organic stuff. Lucky for me, I hate ice cream so on a Friday night you’ll never catch me anywhere trying to buy it.

I only buy prescriptions and medicine at Drug stores. For everything else I will go to Target.

I am a CVS-Busch’s/Harvest Fresh shopper. And on occasion I do visit the local Orchard 10. All those stores are pretty close to my house, and they usually have fairly cheap prices. So it’s nice.

One of the benifits of working for an organization that encourages a healthy lifestyle, is that I am not on any prescription medications. So, on the rare occasion that I do visit a CVS, Walgreens or Rite-Aid, it’s just to pick up the ubiquitous greeting card that I forgot to buy from another store.

I do try and check out the price’s and then go to the store that I’ll get the most savings. This is only when I’m really tight for money.
Mainly I go to CVS, Kroger and the local farm market because they are very close to home.
But if it’s a friday night it I wanted some ice cream. I would go to the nearest store and pay what ever it cost.

On a Friday night…convenience is the key. I am usually on my way to some function and I am not going to go from store to store looking for the best bargain. As for my regular shopping trip, I will bring in the ads from comptetors’ stores and ask them to price match. That way, I get the sale price w/o having to run around.

I look through all the sales papers for the items I want and I price compare. I will even go to two or three different stores if they have a few items on sale that are on my list. In the past, I have just bought all the items at one store since I was already there but when I got home, I was mad at myself for overspending. I am on a budget so every sale price definitely matters with me. As for location, there is just about every store imaginable all within 2 miles from me.
