Are Blogs Worth Blogging About?

Every day there are a million new blogs created. Most aren’t read but the authors have a purpose writing them.

I review plenty of corporate websites that advertise a blog and once started, they rarely update. Sure, if you want your blog read, you have to be consistent.

But with so many blogs to read on top of all the Facebook, Twitter, text, email and other "stuff to do" each day, are blogs worth blogging about?

Happy Monday!

I enjoy reading your blogs and look forward to them, as well. Keep them coming. As for, Facebook…I opened an account months ago and I barely ever get to it. I’m having a good day if I read my personal e-mail on a daily basis.

I say the more the merrier! There have been some blogs that I have posted to my facebook for others to read, and some things that I have found on my facebook that I have posted to the TNG Blog as well. The more ways we have to share information, the better.
I always look forward to reading what you have to write about!

If I read the question correctly, blogs might not be worth blogging about.
But, if the question you posted translates to, is “The CEO’s Blog” worth having, my answer is yes. If this tool helps bring in or retain clients, then it’s worth the effort.

  5. Melissa O. Says:

Probably not…but when you (general) do blog you always hope that someone will read it and comment whether they agree or disagree..

Ps…I really enjoy Gary’s comments (he needs his own blog).

I couldn’t tell you the name of a single newspaper writer or columnist. But I do know the names of the bloggers that I regularly read. A blogger who’s experienced in his industry, thorough in explaining his oppinion, and passionate in his writing, is a far more relevant resource to me than other forms of media or print.

I agree with Michelle! I very rarely check my personal email, nevermind my facebook! I cant even remember my password to myspace… To join the rest of the group, I too look forward to the blogs, and the responses to them. I think the TNG blogs are very infomative and well written. Not to blow smoke, but I think you have a fruitful career in writing if you need a change Larry ;)

    Whoops, I meant CEO blog’s!

The blog gets people reading and that inspires ideas. Look it’s 530 and I’m checking to see if you blogged today.

    Goodnight.

    blog on, big guy!

  11. Lory Says:

I’ve heard stylists shopping in the store say that they do read the TNG blog. They just don’t leave comments. That guy Perez Hilton is now famous just because he was a blogger. Blogging is the new rave, at least until something else comes along.

  12. Anonymous Says:

So how do we get more people to comment??

  13. Lory Says:

People don’t comment because they are afraid of the reprecussions. They don’t want to look stupid or have negative comments made back to them. A not threatening enviorment and letting them be anonymous might help.
