Out of My Mind on a Friday Morning
Live and die by one of the greatest inventions of all time: The snooze button. How many times have you pressed the snooze button, went back to sleep and then in the middle of your dream hear the “voice” telling you to wake up. You do in an extreme panic, look at the clock and hope the snooze hasn’t gone off and alas, it hasn’t gone off because you turned off the clock instead. Is that one of the worse feelings or what? That’s how my Friday morning started. And to set the record straight, Nick is the all time biggest slacker!
The Today Show this week got around to finally talk about a couple professional beauty products. Specifically mentioned was CND’s new Shellac, their entry into the soak off gel category. What makes Shellac different is that it comes in a traditional polish bottle. Launching in May in 12 CND shades, the two week manicure is here! Also mentioned was OPI’s Axxium soak off gel. http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/26184891/vp/36017392#36017392
What do you like better? A juicy cheeseburger or jumbo hot dog with all the fixings?
Dick Purtan says good-bye today after 45 years on the radio. We had Dick and his gang at one of our fundraisers. Purtan will be missed by his listeners but at least he will stay connected to the community. Who remembers the morning guy on WJR 76 AM way back that also was a legend?
Whatever happened to the rollerblade craze?
How about salons offering charity poker tournaments and offering services to players that lose their stack?
What sells more: Bagels or doughnuts?
Speaking of food, are hot crispy French Fries the #1 indulgence of all time?
Moroccan Oil is coming out with a new “Light” version of their signature item. It was only a matter of time. Perhaps “Ultra Light” will come out after that.

Dick Purtan’s last broadcast today was AMAZING. I’ve been listening to him for 14 years, and gotten to interact with him several times while volunteering at his radiothon. He is an amazing man, with one of the biggest hearts I’ve ever seen.
And nothing beats a cheeseburger from Cheeseburger in Paradise on Hall road, with a side of their sweet potato fries <3

There used to be a place where in my home town that served a jumbo frank split down the middle, filled with crispy bacon strips, in a freshly steamed bakery bun, then topped with melted shredded cheddar cheese. Man I miss those days!

dear larry, your analogies are great ! In Italy they have been serving spaghetti for many centuries. Many new dishes have come and go lately.
Just watch the restaurants meanwhile……… thanks. MM

max, mix, min-min- that is why restaurants in Italy are so good.
Pizza. Salad. Meat or Fish. Your Platinum card.
Not Ernie Harwell, remember J.P.?

Hey RSW……How about the name of your home town and the joint that serves bacon cheddar dogs……Sounds worthy of a road trip.

Hot dog split with bacon and chedar inside then deep fried was called a Swankie Frankie at a restaurant in Canton. Corner of Ford and Lilley.
Johnson’s. The place was sold and the name changed. I don’t know if they changed the menu.

Unfortunately, the restaurant in Clawson, MI that I used to get that from closed down several years ago. I’m sure there are some other places that serve it, though; I just need to find those places.

Inline skate season is here and is on fire. Our website Inlineskates.net is up 20% to last year surpassing all our other 15 website sales. If you haven’t rollerbladed in a while, it’s a great exercise to get your legs and thighs in shape.
