Memorial Day Weekend Launches Summer
With so many things going on around the world, it is nice to turn off CNN, turn on Jimmy Buffett and take it easy on our first three day summer weekend.
Good news too is that it will be in the low 80’s and sunny with a slight chance of rain on Monday. Now if you are in Miami or Vegas, that might sound a bit cool but for us, it’s perfect weather.
I don’t know about you, but I hate going anywhere on summer weekends. Time goes by fast enough, it’s nice to stay home and chill out. Truthfully, there will be no chilling out since I am the grill chef and BUB is the kitchen chef and we stay very busy between shopping, prepping, cooking and cleaning.
But heck, that’s part of the fun.
And with all that’s been going on, we can all use a break and have a bit of fun in the sun.
Happy Thursday!

I have had it planned for weeks…Sat. a little yard work, drink a couple cold ones, watch the cup finals while relaxing in the hot tub…Sunday the same except baseball instead of hockey. Monday no yard work, a little WII golf in the morning some more cold ones and hockey in the afternoon…It would be the perfect weekend! Then last Tuesday happened…I was informed that I will be grilling for about 40 friends and neighbors who are coming over with all there screaming little rug rats to invade my garage (man cave), empty my beer fridge, eat my food, dirty my hot tub. Then stay way to long knowing I have to get up at 4:30 in the morning to come back to work….I’m looking forward to Tuesday!

This is generally the weekend to do a little of everything. BBQ, plant flowers, spend quality family time and a little R&R.

Bob, you should go out by yourself to “pick up some beer” that day, and just happen to not return until they all leave. “b/c the lines were soooo long!” lol i know the feeling, my husbands fam and friends think their comming over to my quite house….. UGH. have fun!

The worst part is being held captive at the grills making custom food orders because little Johnnie cant eat anything but turkey hot dogs, and Sally has to have her burger extra well done with grilled onions. All the while neighbor Jack is telling me all the details about his latest prostate exam while sucking down his 8th beer that I paid for!

We have a fair in our little community started Tuesday, goes on through Monday, with parades fireworks, relays, pig and ox roasts, ferry rides, and then the fair itself , fun for the kids.
But mainly we will be grillin, chillin, and having a bonfire EVERY NIGHT YAY.
It is much needed AND APPRECIATED,these few days off. Thank You Larry and Teresa.
Everyone have a safe and happy Holiday weekend.
Cannot wait for cocktail 30 tomorrow afternoon.

What time is it? Oh it’s beer thirty. I better get going… I have so much to do to prepare for the trip up north.
Bob here’s the solution to your dilemma….
1. Cheep crappy beer. Milwaukee’s best perhaps
2. Sneeze and cough while cooking at he grill.
3. Close the hot tub.
3. Stage a fight with your better half around 430.
