JWOWW (Jenni Farley) Hits Big Time With Branded Bronzer
Friday, January 28th, 2011However, due to all the hype, I did a little searching and quickly found out why it’s MTV’s top rated show. Bazooka boobs, six-packs, dancing, tanning, drinking and one big wild party.
Sounds like a lot of fun if I was 30 years younger and that’s when you know you are really old (or older I should say). Hey, my fun comes tonight, Martini Friday, at 6PM. One Grey Goose martini, a couple glasses of wine and that’s the big party at the Gaynor household. Lights out at 10PM if I’m lucky to stay awake that long.
But let’s get back to Jersey Shore and the break-out star, Jenni Farley.
How Farley became JWOWW is another story but for all intent purposes, JWOWW is her celebrity name and the name she is taking to the bank. New Sunshine, makers of Designer Skin and Australian Gold among others, worked out a royalty deal to use her name on a bottle of bronzer. The price point of $50 retail is perfect and it’s been flying off tanning salon shelves.
One smart entrepreneur (or he hopes he is) contracted with JWOWW to appear at four of his tanning salon locations with a special VIP party at MGM Grand Detroit’s V lounge February 18. Dennis, owner of Electric Beach, is coughing up a lot of green to produce a lot of tan. He hopes to sell 500 bottles of JWOWW alone and is also selling JWOWW packages up to $150 including JWOWW’s signature on the bottle and your very own photo with JWOWW.
I love the idea and think Dennis is going to be very happy with the results. Celebrity stuff is big business and having JWOWW in the Detroit area is good for business.
In the meantime, the VIP invite-only party surely starts at 10PM or later. Darn, I would have liked to be awake for it.
