Out of My Mind On A Monday Mornin’
Monday, October 4th, 2010DREAMS featuring Tiffany was last night at Andiamo’s Warren. A packed house of more than 500 guests were treated to an evening of glamour, inspiration, delicious food and awesome hair and costumes. Nikki Jackson, Salon Lux, took home the prestigious Tiffany Hairdresser of the Year award. For full results, visit thetiffanyawards.com.
Greg Dawson, Greg Dawson & Associates bought $3000 of 50/50 tickets and held the lucky winning number. The odds were with him! Total money collect for ACS for 50/50 was $6500 so Greg’s share was $3250, a $250 premium to his donation. When Greg came on stage to get his winnings, he told the audience a touching personal story and then donated his winnings to ACS. SCORE for both Greg and ACS!
Carlo Bay and his team are performing live at TheAcademy launching Na.Yo. Hairdressers are baffled at how Kemon pulled this off, they cannot believe the color, the treatment, the whole thing. Kemon has already converted more than 2000 salons in just a few months.
MSU 34, Wisconsin 20. What a game! Surely the best in the past 5 years that I’ve witnessed. 5-0, and here comes the U-M game this Saturday. Looks like a rematch of 1999 only this time the results will be different. GO GREEN!
Speaking of Wisconsin, another private distributor bites the bullet. This time around it’s Aerial selling out to Sally Beauty. Aerial will fit into their BSG division. Looks like it’s L’Oreal’s turn in the acquisition race- look for Peel’s to be next.
I’m off to NY today for the PR launch event of black at Rita Hazen tomorrow. Looks like it will be a full house-all good stuff!
And finally, Shawn finally got off the tree branch with no deer in sight. His excuse: It was too windy. When it’s windy, they don’t move. Love that one.
Happy Monday!
