I completed my manuscript in less than two months, some 90,000+ words. Then I had to find a publisher. The process took longer than writing the book. I decided to go the hybrid publisher route and after extensive research, narrowed the field down to the best three publishers in my mind: Advantage Forbes, Amplify and Greenleaf. What made up my mind was this: I went to LinkedIn and connected with more than 100 authors from the publishers websites and asked them to rate their publisher and experience on a scale of 1-10.
Here was a world that opened right in front of my eyes. I could not believe how nice, how accommodating, how enlightening, how cool the authors were. I want to thank the all the authors who responded back to me as your feedback was priceless. I even enjoyed many phone calls and those were even more enlightening.
It was a very difficult decision but the authors made it for me. I am so thrilled to become a Forbes Author and join the elite rank that comes with it.
Publishing will take about 10 months and even though many of you have already published a book, I'm still going to highlight on my feed the process as it will be a fascinating journey and one that you might like to read as you get ready to publish your second book!
The author community is very special and I can't wait to be part of it.

I had my first meeting with Forbes Books to start the publishing process. I met Erica, my line editor who will edit the book. She will do 1/3 of the book at a time and take 2-3 weeks per section. Then the senior editor will review her edits and send me for review. So about 10 weeks for the line edits to be completed.
